WhoDunnIT? - 2016 Awards

A truly action packed weekend and a fantastic amount of effort was put in by all over the three very long days. As always, it was a very challenging rally leaving everyone physically fatigued and mentally exhausted, most survived to tell their story! We gave extra recognition awards this year to reflect the dedication shown.

With the final scores being calculated during the return ferry crossing, we presented the following awards on behalf of our sponsors to the winning teams and individuals who really did gave it everything they had over the entire event! Very well done to everyone!!

Like last year, the Winners' slot was highly contested with only few points separating the three runners up but, with a clear margin, congratulations go to Roger Rabbit and the Pink LANthers who took first place. A confident route plot and excellent attention to detail during the drive!

S3/S5 - Deerstalker.io

There were so many excellently decorated vehicles and fantastic costumes, with some of the gentlemen wearing their dresses a little too comfortably!! Well done to all those teams that expended a great amount of effort to dress their vehicles and teams, we certainly made an impact!

Other lasting impressions and memorable moments include Georgie bearing all and swimming in the sea twice, Mark leaving the bar for the 15 minute walk back to his hotel where he arrived three hours later, Duncan showing true grit to complete the extreme high wire obstacle course, and the fact that our ferry had to return to port in France an hour after we sailed on our homeward journey!

Deerstalker.io also need a special mention; as first time ralliers they put in an amazing performance overall. They mastered the cryptic route clues, followed the route well completing the majority of challenges, and all in costume too.

Thanks to everyone that took part, our sponsors and those that have donated - we are fast approaching £50,000 raised, and with your help we hope to surpass the £50k marker again this year!!

Keep up the good work and let’s make this a record year.

It's going to be amazing!

Our events are great fun, not requiring any special driving skills or vehicles. They are open to anyone aged 18 or over looking for excitement and adventure. The challenge is getting from the start to the finish, while maintaining your sense of humour! Many teams take part in old bangers decorated to the theme of the event, with fancy dress costumes to match which all adds to the fundraising frenzy.

With the many technology advances in recent years we've all benefited from improved communications, but at the same time the Internet and mobile phones have presented new channels for abuse. Children and teenagers are increasingly victims of grooming and bullying.

By raising funds for carefully chosen charities we can help to stop child cruelty. Join us and help us to support Barnardo's in their work with vulnerable children - helping to improve their lives.

Who takes part?

Anyone and everyone! We have teams from end user organisations, vendors and groups of friends. Some are seriously into their cars but most are just looking for fun and adventure! Although there is a bias towards IT and Information Security due to our roots, we have participants from all walks of life and this diversity increases each year with more colleagues, family and friends being introduced as word spreads.

Are you in business?
This is the best business networking event you will attend this year! Imagine spending 3 days with other business leaders building lasting relationships as you endure the challenges of the event.  Based on past experience we know that you will meet business owners, senior professionals, and many talented individuals and get some great networking!

Are you a 'petrol head'?
Then, we need you! Sign up now. A lot of teams will have no mechanical knowledge, they just want to have an adventure, a lot of fun and to raise some money for charity. Your skills could come in useful, but we want to see how you've pimped your ride! Many of our entrants are very proud of their cars, you'll have a lot of interest in their creations!

Are you after a fun weekend?
If you simply want to do something a bit different and to have a lot of fun with some great people, then your should sign up now! This event is open to anyone (18 and over) who enjoys life. You'll meet some great people, see some interesting and beautiful places, have many laughs, good food and of course beer!

Is this rally for me?

Well that depends on what you are looking for, but we're confident that you will have a fantastic long weekend that you won't forget for a very long time, and at the same time you will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children by taking part in our charity car rally.

There are so many rallies each year, some for charity, some not, some in the UK, some not, some are short, others are long, some are for specific cars... so it really does depend on what you want, how much time you've got, and how well you are funded!

Inexpensive and open to anyone aged 18 and over, our events are fun and for charity. You only need a car with four wheels, and you will be raising money to support the work of recognised charities in their work with vulnerable children and teenagers.

Our event is 3 days, with optionally an early arrival on the day before extending the social side of things. We've tried to keep the start and finish as central as we can to make it accessible to everyone, and we've classes of entry to suite all vehicles too. We've tried to keep the costs down and make the event as social as possible while remembering that we are trying to raise as much money as possible for Barnardo's.

If you are keen to have a lot of fun while minimising the impact on work and your wallet then look no further! White Hat Rally won't disappoint!!

We've had everything from a Porche and Caterham, to classic cars, an ambulance and lots of old bangers, but many enter in their regular car and decorate it to the theme of the rally. We'll have some fun and games along the way to the theme, and we've also included other motoring activities for some off road fun!

Our rally has elements of true motor sport, drawing on the navigational skills used by proper road rallys and off road rallys. You don't need any prior experience, nor a special vehicle or equipment. Our events are run according to Motorsport UK standards as we are a fully recognised motor sports club.

If you still aren't sure then take a look at some of the other events available from various organisations and individuals, you will soon get an idea of what appeals to you! There are too many to list but to get you started here's a few: Scally Rally, Wacky Rally, Banger Rally, All Star Rally, Screwball Rally, Charity Road Trips, EuroRally 33, Scrumrun, Motoscape, Mini Rallies, Crumball Rally, Ramshackle Rally, Dumball Rally and U Rally.
